The Orceum Store (https://orceum.com/store) is where users discover and install apps, similar to a traditional App Store. Your app’s status controls its visibility, and your description drives its discoverability. Users browse the Store visually — there are no API calls required to search for or install apps.

App Status Lifecycle

Every app starts in a PENDING state after creation:

Status transitions are managed via the Orceum Developer Studio. When your app is ready, you can submit it for publication to move it to ACTIVE.

Searching the Store

Users explore the Orceum Store by category, featured collections, or keyword search. Orceum’s search engine matches user queries against your app’s name and description.

Optimizing for Discovery

Orceum’s AI-powered search considers your app’s description and action names when ranking results. To rank well:
  1. Use specific keywords in your description — include tool names, task types, and related service names.
  2. Be concise but descriptive — keep your description under 200 characters for the best UI presentation.
  3. Use distinct action names — each action that appears in search results adds keyword surface area for discovery.

App Analytics

You don’t need to make API calls to track your app’s performance. You can view aggregated statistics directly in the Analytics tab of the Developer Studio:
  • Active Installs: Number of users who currently have your app installed.
  • Total Installs: All-time installation count.
  • Uninstalls: Users who have removed your app in the last 30 days.
  • Action Calls: Total number of times your app was invoked in the last 30 days.

Managing Your App

All app management operations are performed visually in the Orceum Developer Studio:
  • Update Metadata: Edit your name, description, or configuration settings.
  • View Your Apps: See a dashboard of all apps you own.
  • Regenerate Manifest: For MCP apps, refresh your tool discovery with a single click.
  • Archive App: Hide your app from the Store without permanently deleting it.
Deleting an app from the Developer Studio immediately removes it from the Orceum Store and terminates all active installations. Users lose access with no warning. We recommend Archiving your app instead of deleting it, in case you need to restore it later.
